hot dog! rockabilly mom!
My blog is an everyday, okay maybe not everyday, account of the things my mind deems fit to unload on all the readers who are willing to read it. I am just writing about my life and the things that go on in it. My kids, my mate, my writing projects, my music, my killer fashion sense! That's it the truth and nothing but, so help any one?!

Here comes the sun
It was a hot day today, 90 ish degrees. Bleck. Can't say I'm ready for it, especially when it's laundry day and I have to haul four people's worth of laundry up and down stairs like an extremely sweaty chamber maid. But on a positive note my kiddos got to spend the day yesterday at Disneyland with their grandma's. They had an incredible time and they shut the park down. I on the other hand shambled around the house trying to find a purpose to life with out children to take care of. I really thought I would enjoy the solitude but I was surprised to find my self quite bored and doing house work on my "day off". I forced myself to stop and watch a movie. What a trip...

Hello again, where's summer?
Well what a strange spring! Let's see, today is June 8th and its 50 degrees outside with not even a hint of sunshine. I do live in southern CA right? My eldest son is supposed to be going on a field trip to the local swimming pool with his class tomorrow. There will be many a broken hearted future forth grader if this weather persists. They had to cancel their field trip to Stonewall trail on monday because of rain in the morning. Not that I'm really excited to be delved into the 90 something degree weather we get here in the summer, but a mid 70's would be nice. Just goes to show you we really are never happy with what we've got. I guess I'll stop whining now and go do something productive now :)

Starting fresh
Well it's been a long time since I've been able to post anything! Since beginning our lives here in Julian, so many things have happened. I'll start with last October, and work my way up to present. Last October my husband and I got involved with the Julian Melo-drama. It's a traditional Melo-drama complete with a villain who wears a cape and killer handle bar mustache. I was cast as the preacher's daughter Miss Gloria Singer and Josh played Judge Knott. We had four performances every weekend through October. It was a blast! We were thrust into the community and were able to make a lot of friends in a very abbreviated amount of time. here's a link to the site for pictures of last seasons show http://www.julianmelodrama.com/2010%20Julian%20Melodrama%20Album/index.html I'm the one in the cranberry colored hat making all the weird faces. Josh is the guy in the derby with the dashing grin :). After we were done with that, I got involved with The Julian Stage Company's production of A Christmas Carol. It was the best thing I have ever done. With a cast of forty, I met lots of new folks that I fell in love with. Hope to have a link for those pictures soon. I got to play two characters Mrs. Fred and Mrs. Fezziwig. I was the most married dame in the show. I cried at the cast party after our last show. I was not the only sissy mind you but I will not name names. Since then I have begun sewing costumes for the next production. It's a small company with NO budget for anything. Most of the work I've done has to be reconned from thrifted goodies. It's a personal challenge to take something out of a thrift shop and turn it into an 1840-50's costume. I'm having a ball doing it because the director (Mrs. Sandra Sladkey) allows me total artistic license! It's fantastic! However I want the costumes to look! She is a very trusting lady, and a dear dear friend to me. Other than all the theater stuff, Summer vacation is coming! No more 6:30 wake up heart attacks from the damned alarm clock. Yee Haw! So many cool things planned to do this summer! Wait I forgot to tell you that I got to meet my sister yesterday! The sister that I have never met and didn't even know existed before 2005. She was put up for adoption 13 years before I was born, and dad never mentioned her. She found us! I met my super cool nephew, and one and only niece as well. It was brilliant! The spooky thing is that we are sooo much alike. A person observing our conversation would never be able to tell we we weren't brought up together. What a life I am having! I am supremely happy even though we are poor. HA! Who knew it was possible?!

Oh hiya, nice to meet cha!
Well well! Here I am! I finally decided that i would bite the bullet and take on , on top of all the other monumental tasks I face every day, a blog! I'm a masochist apparently. I would like to take this first blog and dedicate it to introducing myself and what my blogs are to be about. My name is Tiffany but I much prefer the moniker Miss Fanny Dimples please and thanks! I think its self explanatory lol. If not, let me explain! Being of the vintage rockabilly persuasion, I wanted a name to represent me in an old fashioned sounding sort of way. My given name is straight from the eighties as am I and i will never forgive my parents for fallowing the trends! I joke. Any how, also being a lady of a slightly more than zoftig shape it made all the more sense to me! Shows a touch of humor I think! I am a mommy of two boys who are fantastically different from eachother, and after ten years of reationhip with their father, I am planning our wedding to be i june of this year! Holy hell! A wedding and two kids and a blog! She must be mad! And you would be correct in that assumption! My sons names are David, he's eight and fast becoming a teen ager, and Dorian who is eighteen months which is a year and a half in mommy speak. Pretty big age difference but it serves to keep things different lol. My soon to be hubby's name is josh and he is absolutley fantastic! More about them later. As far as my blogs are concerned I plan on just writing about my life and all the things that are important or crazy or distressing. Im sure there are no shortage of blogs about such things but hey! Im a rockabilly mom right! Makes me at least worth a passing glance! Well nice to meet all of you potential readers! I hope I can keep this up!
